Data protection policy

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

As a data controller, Motoplanete attaches great importance to respecting your Privacy and complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.

2. PURPOSE OF YOUR DATA COLLECTION

Your personal data is collected either on the basis of your explicit consent.
Your personal data is collected in order to:
  • Allow you to participate in motorcycle discussion forums
  • Allow you to contact sellers of second-hand vehicles
  • Manage your rights if you wish to contribute to the information published on Motoplanete
  • Personally inform you of new services available on the website
  • With your consent, send you information about our offers, news and events.

3. DATA COLLECTED BY MOTOPLANETE

The Personal Data concerning you, that we are most likely to collect and process, is the following:
  • data relating to your identity: your title, last name, first names, telephone number, e-mail addresses;
  • and in the following specific cases: For second-hand vehicle sellers: Your name, address, e-mail address and telephone number.

4. RECIPIENTS OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Your Personal Data is processed by Motoplanete. They will not be transferred or made accessible to any third party, except for:
any Motoplanete subcontractors for strictly technical and logistical reasons (hosting, restoration and website maintenance service providers, etc.).
Finally, Motoplanete may disclose your Personal Data to third parties when such disclosure is required by law, regulation or court order, or if such disclosure is necessary to protect and defend its rights.

5. FOREIGN DATA TRANSFERS

Motoplanete does not transfer any of your Personal Data abroad. In the event that said transfer were to be implemented, particularly outside the European Union, it would be carried out with the appropriate safeguards and in compliance with applicable regulations on the protection of personal data.

6. STORAGE PERIOD

Motoplanete commits to using Personal Data for a maximum period of 3 years.
You have the option of unsubscribing from these e-mails at any time. To do so, you can contact our Customer Relations department by e-mail at webmaster@motoplanete.com or by clicking on the unsubscribe link attached to each e-mail. This applies to all Motoplanete electronic communications, with the exception of e-mails required for exchanges with second-hand car vendors.

7. SECURITY

Motoplanete has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the confidentiality and security of your Personal Data.
Motoplanete's IT systems are protected by state-of-the-art physical and software security measures. Physical and electronic back-up procedures for collected data have been implemented, in compliance with current French legislation on personal data protection and market standards.
Please be aware, however, that no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure and that all information communicated online can potentially be intercepted and used by individuals other than the intended recipient.

8. INDIVIDUALS' RIGHTS TO THE COLLECTED DATA

In accordance with the current regulations, you have the right to access and rectify your personal data, as well as the right to request its deletion, to object to its processing and to obtain its limitation or portability where applicable.
These rights may be exercised directly with Motoplanete by sending an e-mail to webmaster@motoplanete.com.
You also have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority, in France the CNIL.
